Brewery Tours
Brewery Tour
The pub crawl is a centuries-old tradition, going all the way back to when the English still measured liquids in pints. A group of friends travels on foot to every pub in an English town or village, drinking a pint of beer in each pub. There are even restaurants that stay open late to accommodate the after pub crawl crowd. The American Midwest, however, is no place for pub crawls. Our cities grew up in the age of the automobile; our wide open spaces have turned into sprawling suburbs, whereas the English towns best suited to pub crawls are medieval towns, some of which even still have city walls; everything is in walking distance. The combination of a pub crawl-inspired trek from one drinking establishment to another and the beloved institution of the road trip sounds like a dream come true until you remember the dangers of drunk driving. No one wants to be the sober designated driver on a brewery tour, obeying the rules of the road while all your friends get progressively drunker and rowdier. Some breweries in Michiana make excellent root beer and ginger ale, but you can always buy local non-alcoholic beverages and drink them at your kid’s birthday party. That is not what brewery tours are for. This is a job for the Michiana Party Bus. One of our vehicles can take you and your party to any or all of the breweries within a 100 mile radius of Elkhart, Indiana. That means that if you want to drink in South Bend, continue drinking in Chicago, and then sleep off the effects of the alcohol on the way back to Elkhart, no one has to get stuck with the job of being the designated driver. Your brewery tour can be as short as three hours, or it can be much longer. You can have as few as six people in your party or any number more than that. If you have a large party, you can even hire more than one vehicle. It is our opinion that the best vehicle for a brewery tour is our party bus that comes equipped with the game Rock Band; the bus can seat up to 20 people, but even if there are only seven people going on your brewery tour, it just means that everyone has more room to sit and play Rock Band. If you are really looking for a classy brewery tour experience, you can even have one of our stretch limos take you on the brewery tour. All of our limos have leather seats and hardwood floors, so you will want to take as many pictures inside the limo as you do at the breweries. Once you have tried all the beer in Michiana, you can call us to schedule a wine tour. Michiana is known as a beer-drinking part of the country, but we also have some excellent vineyards within driving distance. Our party bus brewery tours and wine tours are great for birthday parties and bachelor or bachelorette parties. |
